You will come across many terms when you move around in the land of social innovation, and without proper guidance these may be difficult to distinguish from one another. You can use the glossary in the back of this book to assist you on your way, but the list below further explains some of the most important of these terms, and can be used as a work of reference. All the different areas do not have to be explored fully before you start your journey, but we believe that you will find the descriptions useful as your desire to dig deeper evolves.
